Many vehicles sustain damage in densely populated area; no injuries reported

Arkansas City Police Department logoThe Arkansas City Police Department is seeking information regarding the illegal discharge of a firearm in a densely populated area, causing property damage.

Law enforcement officers responded during the weekend to multiple reports of criminal damage to property involving a firearm that was discharged illegally within the City limits of Arkansas City.

An unknown person or persons fired multiple rounds in and around unoccupied vehicles in an area that includes parks, businesses, and a daycare.

No one was injured in these shootings.

The Arkansas City Police Department is asking the public for any information on this investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting incidents is asked to call (620) 441-4444.

Those wishing to remain anonymous may contact Cowley County Crime Stoppers, which offers rewards of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.
