Winfield man arrested after allegedly driving vehicle into home

Kenemore accused of aggravated assault in connection with domestic incident

Arkansas City Police Department badgeARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (Feb. 18, 2019) The Arkansas City Police Department arrested a Winfield man Feb. 16 after he allegedly drove his vehicle into the front portion of a local residence.

Kevin Lee Kenemore, 40, was arrested on suspicion of felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield in lieu of $10,000 bond through Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City.

Kenemore since has posted bond and been released from custody.

Officers responded about 6:56 a.m. Feb. 16 to a residence located in the 1700 block of North Eighth Street after the incident was reported.

They determined that Kenemore had been in an argument with a 25-year-old Arkansas City woman. During the argument, he drove his 2005 Toyota Highlander in the front of the residence.

No injuries were reported as a result of the collision. Kenemore allegedly fled the scene on foot, but was located a short time later and apprehended.

A defendant’s guilt or innocence is to be determined by a court of law.
