Ark City man arrested Oct. 11 for brandishing pistol at man
Donlay allegedly pointed handgun at victim during verbal altercation at Casey’s
ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (Oct. 14, 2019) — The Arkansas City Police Department arrested an Arkansas City man Oct. 11 after he allegedly brandished a gun at a man at a local convenience store.
Dale Anthony Donlay, 67, was arrested on suspicion of one felony count of aggravated assault.
He was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield in lieu of $20,000 bond through Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City.
Donlay remained in custody at the time of this release.
Police on Oct. 11 were dispatched for a disturbance involving a handgun at Casey’s General Store, located at 601 S. Summit St. An officer arrived and contacted the victim, a 38-year-old Wichita man.
Both the victim and several store employees reported witnessing Donlay brandish and point a pistol at the victim.
Donlay later came to the police department and stated there had been a verbal altercation.
A defendant’s guilt or innocence is to be determined by a court of law.
