Arkansas City Police Department logoThe Arkansas City Police Department is investigating the theft of several vehicles from an Arkansas City vehicle dealership on March 25.

Officers were dispatched March 26 to Reedy Ford, located at 3319 N. Summit St., for a report of two trucks that had been stolen — a gray 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 and a white 2011 GMC Sierra 1500.

The vehicles were removed from the dealership parking lot around 2:47 a.m. March 25.

The GMC Sierra since has been recovered in Sumner County, but the Dodge Ram has not been found yet.

Police suspect the drivers involved in the theft were accompanied by a silver newer-model Cadillac CTS and a red late-1980s or early-1990s Ford F-150 pickup truck.

They also determined, through additional investigation, that these trucks have been used to commit additional crimes across multiple jurisdictions.
