Arkansas City Police Department seeks suspicious male subject

Man asked 10-year-old to come with him during June 29 baseball game

Arkansas City Police Department logoThe Arkansas City Police Department is seeking any information in connection with a suspicious incident June 29 at the ACHS South Sports Complex.

A 10-year-old juvenile male was exiting a restroom just prior to 8:18 p.m. at the complex, 2030 N. 15th St., during a baseball game when an unknown Hispanic male asked the boy to come with him.

The juvenile began walking the other way and said “no.” This was the last contact between the two.

The suspicious man is between 6 feet tall and 6-foot-2. He is described as skinny, with short black hair, sideburns and a small, thin mustache.

He was wearing a red and black T-shirt, dark blue jeans and a watch on his right wrist.

Anyone with information regarding this incident, including those who might have witnessed it or have any information that could help to identify the man, is asked to call (620) 441-4444.
