Arkansas City man arrested on suspicion of counterfeiting bills
Loins also arrested on several warrants for battery, robbery, failure to appear
ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (June 5, 2019) — The Arkansas City Police Department arrested an Arkansas City man June 1 on a pair of warrants and discovered alleged counterfeit currency on him.
Lydell Adonis Loins, 22, was arrested on suspicion of counterfeiting and possession of a controlled substance, both of which are felonies, plus a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
He also was arrested on an Arkansas City Municipal Court warrant for misdemeanor failure to appear, as well as a warrant for felony aggravated robbery and misdemeanor battery through Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City.
Loins was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield in lieu of $48,025 bond through Arkansas City district court. He remained in custody at the time of this release.
Officers conducted a traffic stop about 10 a.m. June 1 in the 100 block of East Central Avenue.
A passenger in the car, later identified as Loins, was found to have active warrants for his arrest and taken into custody. A search of his person turned up suspected counterfeit U.S. currency, consisting of seven $20 bills and one $100 bill.
A defendant’s guilt or innocence is to be determined by a court of law.
