Arkansas City woman arrested Oct. 4 for endangering a child

Brittany Brown also arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia

Arkansas City Police Department badgeARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (Oct. 11, 2019) The Arkansas City Police Department arrested an Arkansas City woman Oct. 4 for endangerment after serving a drug search warrant in south Arkansas City.

Brittany Ann Brown, 22, was arrested on suspicion of one misdemeanor count each of endangering a child, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

She was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield in lieu of $3,000 bond through Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City.

Brown since has posted bond and been released from custody.

Police on Oct. 4 executed a search warrant for suspected drug activity at 716 S. Summit St. They contacted two occupants of the residence, along with their infant child.

During a search of the residence, numerous items of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found.

A defendant’s guilt or innocence is to be determined by a court of law.
