Vehicle reportedly struck pedestrian in Walmart parking lot; driver uninjured

Arkansas City Police Department badgeARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (Nov. 6, 2019) A 67-year-old Arkansas City woman was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.

Police were dispatched about 3:35 p.m. Nov. 5 to Walmart Supercenter, located at 2701 N. Summit St., for a reported vehicle-pedestrian accident.

Officers found the female victim complaining of pain to her head and right arm.

She was transported by the Arkansas City Fire-EMS Department to South Central Kansas Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 63-year-old Arkansas City man, was not injured.

No charges have been filed at this time, but the accident remains under investigation.
