Officer discovers burglary at Ark Veterinary Associates; money, tech stolen

Arkansas City Police Department badgeARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (Nov. 26, 2019) The Arkansas City Police Department is seeking any leads about a burglary that apparently occurred Nov. 25 at a veterinary clinic in east-central Arkansas City.

Around 11:01 p.m. Nov. 25, an Arkansas City police officer noticed damage at the Ark Veterinary Associates building, located at 907 E. Kansas Ave. A building check revealed evidence of a burglary.

Initial reports indicate that money and video recording equipment were stolen from the business.

This incident still is under investigation. However, anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Arkansas City Police Department at (620) 441-4444.

Those wishing to remain anonymous may contact Cowley County Crime Stoppers, which offers rewards of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest.
