Arkansas City man arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault

Perry accused of throwing rocks through occupied business windows July 22

An Arkansas City man was arrested July 27 after allegedly throwing rocks through the windows of two local businesses that were occupied at the time.

Timothy Andre Perry, 41, was arrested by the Arkansas City Police Department on a Cowley County District Court warrant for aggravated assault. He was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield in lieu of $10,000 bond through Cowley County District Court in Winfield.

Perry remained in custody at the time of this release.

A defendant’s guilt or innocence is to be determined by a court of law.

Police responded July 22 to two separate incidents involving rocks that had been thrown through the window of local businesses. Witnesses at the scene helped officers to determine that both businesses were occupied at the time the rock was thrown through each’s respective window.

A suspect was identified and additional evidence gathered. The case was presented to the Cowley County Attorney’s Office for review and Perry subsequently was arrested in connection.
